Bosco Marengo: successful testing of the temporary storage facility systems
26 February 2021
Testing of the systems of the temporary storage facility for radioactive waste at the Bosco Marengo (AL) site known as B106 was successfully completed today.
The activities, which were assisted from remote by the ISIN Supervisory Body, concerned the electrical, drainage system, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and fire detection systems.
Once the tests have been completed and the authorisation has been obtained, the entry into operation of the B106 will enable all the site's radioactive waste to be stored, pending its transfer to the future
National Repository.
