On 31 October, Sogin opened the doors of the Trino plant to over 50 students from the Faculty of Engineering at the

The future engineers of the Energy Engineering and Nuclear Engineering degree courses, accompanied by Prof. Marco Ricotti, were first introduced to the history of
Sogin and
nuclear decommissioning, with a focus on the main activities carried out and still underway at the Vercelli plant.
Afterwards, the tour inside the plant began, entering the operating room, passing through the pond floor to the temporary storage area for radioactive waste, called D1.
The visit, much appreciated by the participants, was a further opportunity for Sogin to dialogue and share its know-how with the younger generation.
