Preliminary open consultation about waste treatment

​Sogin, in order to start a public tender, announces a preliminary open consultation to all potential interested economic operators with proved experience, for the incineration and conditioning of the resulting ashes of combustible radioactive waste (organic/aqueous, liquid/solid) produced at Italian fuel cycle facilities of ITREC (Rotondella – Matera), IPU (Casaccia – Roma) and EUREX (Saluggia - Vercelli).
Sogin is interested in well proved processes to be performed in operating incineration facilities. Additional details can be required to wastetreatment@sogin.it no later than 27 November 2019. Sogin will provide the available information and subsequently operators, within 7 December 2019, will send a brief description of their experiences and of the processes proposed together with a confidentiality declaration.

The technical meeting will be held, in English language, on 18 December 2019 in Rome, Via Marsala 51/C, in order to go in details in the topic:

• 9.30 am: registration of interested Economic Operators;
• 10.00 am: presentation of the main topics covered by the consultation;
• 11.00 - 13.00 am: open discussion, observations, suggestions and closure.

Sogin will produce a minute of meeting, to be shared among the participants. The present announcement constitute a “preliminary market consultation” in line with the Italian Decree n.50/2016 and does not constitute any commitment for Sogin about the subsequent start of the tender procedure. Furthermore, the lack of participation of economic operators in the consultation does not in any way preclude participation in the tender that should be called.
