04 December 2020
On Thursday 3 December, on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the
21st edition of the SAFE Master in Energy Resources Management, Sogin CEO Emanuele Fontani participated in the round table on
energy transition and the new action plan for the
circular economy.
In his speech, the CEO explained Sogin's role in the technological, economic, and digital transition of the country. In particular, after illustrating the circular economy strategy applied to nuclear decommissioning and the importance of technological innovation in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, Fontani highlighted the way Sogin applies the principles of sustainability in all areas in which it operates, whether economic, social or environmental: witness the constant dialogue with stakeholders and the attention paid to the areas where the decommissioned nuclear plants are located, which was also confirmed during the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency.
In addition to the Sogin CEO, Massimiliano Bianco, CEO of Iren, Giancarlo Morandi, President of Cobat, Paolo Tomasi, President of Conou, and Stefano Venier, CEO of Hera, participated in the panel.
